Join us in the filmkoop for an evening of articulated light with the help of lasers controlled by sound!
Oscilloscopemusic
Oscilloscope Music is audiovisual music, where the visuals are drawn by the sound. In order to get the closest possible correlation between image and sound, the exact same signal that is connected to the left and right speakers is also connected to an analog oscilloscope’s X and Y inputs, producing complex lissajous images.
Since roughly 2013, Jerobeam Fenderson and Hansi3D have created ever more elaborate techniques to explore this largely uncharted field of audiovisual music.
Optokoppler
Optokoppler is a project by Bernhard Rasinger and Philipp Haffner.
They met in 2016 to discover their mutual passion for the artistic use of analogue oscilloscopes in conjunction with modular synthesizers. Bernhard´s favored tool for visualization of sound is a RGB laser. Philipp specializes in analogue video synthesis based on the LZX Industries video system. The combination of those two crafts now had to be explored.
Optokoppler was born at Vector Hack Festival 2018 as a basic idea to fuse these two approaches into one coherent performance.
